I've been off the trail for three months but now I've found it again. I think I may be closer than ever to finding Airen.
My search brought me to Amazon.com where, according to sources, Airen purchased a self-help book, called The Secret of the Shadow. She bought the book in May and has been using the exercises in the chapters.
I hear that she began searching for this book after reading an old copy of O Magazine, which someone had left in the laundry room of her building. There was an article about Debbie Ford, the book's author, in the January 2002 issue, where the book was mentioned. The book was released around that time.
As of right now, it appears Airen is in the process of writing her story and listening to the dialogue of her "Shadow Box."
The book is designed to help uncover one's hidden potential by helping that person to embrace herself, make peace with her past, and overcome her self-defeating thoughts.
I'm told that Airen has read the entire book, and through self-reflection, she is coming to understand herself in a new, refreshing way. She's always known she was a writer, for instance, but only recently, she's realized just how much writing has been a part of her overall nature, and it's given her a new perspective on her talent. Also, she has identified an underlying pattern in her unrequited love experiences, and is now confident that she can break this pattern and bring these experiences to an end. She has started to uncover the gifts within her flaws and is excited about bringing them out.
I'm happy to hear this, and I think that this is the beginning of an amazing transition. I'm so proud of her, and I hope to be right there with her when she finally unlocks that potential and steps out of her 25-year story. It will be awesome day.
